Wildlight announced that its multiplayer title “Highguard” will permanently shut down March 12.

In a statement shared with players, the studio said more than 2 million players had joined the game since launch but acknowledged it had been unable to build a sustainable long-term player base to support continued operations.

Servers will remain online until March 12, allowing players to return before the shutdown.

Before going offline, the development team plans to release a final update. The patch will add a new Warden, a new weapon, account level progression and skill trees. Full patch notes are expected at the time of release.

Wildlight thanked players for their support and participation in the game’s community.
