Maximum Entertainment has officially launched Smalland: Survive the Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing the open-world survival adventure to Nintendo’s newest platform with all previously released content updates included from other versions of the game.
The survival title places players in the role of the “Smallfolk,” a miniature civilization attempting to survive in a massive wilderness filled with towering trees, giant insects and dangerous creatures. Everyday environments become sprawling landscapes as players explore forests, underground caverns and massive natural structures from a tiny perspective.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version includes all major post-launch content updates already released on other platforms, including guild systems, stables, The Underlands update and additional gameplay features. Players can experience the adventure solo or team up online with up to nine additional players in multiplayer.
One of the game’s standout mechanics allows players to tame and ride creatures ranging from geckos to scorpions while exploring the world. Players can also gather resources, craft equipment and build customizable encampments either on the forest floor or high within the canopy using the game’s Great Tree base-building system.
The game also features a variety of armor sets and crafting systems that allow players to improve survivability against environmental hazards while uncovering hidden lore scattered throughout the wilderness.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds originally launched on other platforms before expanding to Nintendo Switch 2 with the complete content package now available at launch.
